TG-12x4

The TG-12x4 machine can be equipped as an infeed or thrufeed machine. It has a 4-inch (101-mm) wide grinding wheel, single point diamond dressing capabilities, and the ability to hold micron tolerances. The heavy-duty construction on the 4-inch model adds to great machine stability. The TG-12x4 is a highly versatile machine with the ability to grind multiple step diameter parts. Equipped with the Automatic Infeed Unit and automatic loading for around the clock operation.

The perfect addition for many job shops who do it all. The Royal Master Centerless Grinder with Infeed and Thrufeed capabilities will give your shop the advantage of grind diameters .002”-1.5” (.005-38mm). In this growing competitive manufacturing environment turn around time begins to play a vital role in WHO gets the ORDER. In many instances a typical delivery from a grinding shop may take as long as 3 weeks or more and many customers look for much faster turn around times. With lean manufacturing and JIT “Just In Time” deliveries the TG-12x4 centerless grinder with its small floor foot print, 4' x 6', is a great solution to this growing problem. You will now have the ability to grind 12' bar stock, individual parts with multiple diameters, and much more. With its small size it is easily changed over to run your next job; in many cases it may be a simple adjustment or a tooling change, but more than likely 30 minutes and you are off and grinding.

The machine’s capabilities, hard materials such as Carbide & Ceramics, to delicate plastics and exotic materials, used for surgery and implantable devices, such as NiTi & SS. With the addition of inboard and outboard supports grinding of bar stock, is easily accomplished.

TG-12x4 Thrufeed Capbilities

This Royal Master Centerless Grinding platform has been tooled for fine Thrufeed Micro-Size adjustments. Size adjustments of .000,01" (.000,25mm) is achieved with a precision ball screw that incorporates a Micro Adjustment Dial. It also features a precision glass scale for digital feedback directly to the operator. This machine has long been a leader in grinding extremely hard materials such as Carbide, Ceramic, & PCD. Changeovers are made quickly and easily with Royal Master's rigidly designed cantilevered spindle. No need for forklifts or cranes to change wheels as on many larger machines.

From hard materials to delicate plastics used for surgery and implantable devices this grinder can do it all. With the addition of inboard and outboard supports grinding of bar stock, welded tubing, catheters, and even guitar strings is made possible.

TG-12x4 CNC "Lite" Servo Cycle System

The robust design and versatility of the standard TG-12x4 is enhanced with the addition of a Frameless Servo Driven In-Line Ball Screw and not with encoder feedback on the Ram Bed. This feature provides for Automatic Infeed Cycles and Thrufeed position control with the convenience of a Touch Screen Operator Interface.

The CNC "Lite" Servo Cycle system provides many of the advantage provided with the High Accuracy Grinding System but at a lower investment and on a standard TG-12x4 ram bed.

The Royal Master Model TG-12x4 has been a reliable workhorse for Infeed and Thrufeed grinding. Now there is a feature available to provide for a more compact and more precise ram bed positioning systems for both new machine and also as a Retrofit system

Designed with a Ball Screw and Frameless Servo Motor, the ram bed position is verified with a digital display from the rotary encoder. The operator interface is a simple to read and simple to navigate touch screen located on a pendant arm. The PLC and the operator interface integrate all of the controls for the ram bed position, regulating wheel servo drive, optional auto feeding systems and optional post process gauging.

TG-12x4 Hi-Accuracy Grinding System

Our Hi-Accuracy system has many set-up advantages over our standard TG-12x4 machines. In addition to the Servo Motor with .1 micron resolution glass scale, the less mechanical set-up and touch screen controller lends itself to a lower skilled operator.

Using calculator inputs for infeed grinding distances and velocities, set-ups are easily replicated. Thrufeed Grinding is easier as the pivot point of the ram is located below the grinding and regulating wheels. This means when swiveling, there is no need to re-adjust the guides.
