The TG-12x3 machine has a 12 inch (304mm) diameter
x 3 inch (76mm) wide grinding wheel. Designed with the smaller shop
in mind, the basic machine has a lower cost, yet full centerless
grinding features. It
allows the smallest shop to become competitive in centerless grinding.

The TG-12x4 machine can be equipped as
an infeed or thrufeed machine. It has a 4 inch (101mm) wide grinding
wheel, single point diamond dressing capabilities, and the ability
to hold micron tolerances. The heavy duty construction on the 4
inch model adds to greater machine stability. The TG-12x4 is a highly
versatile machine with the ability to grind multiple step diameter
parts.The RMG 12x4 can grind many different parts such as the ones
below. Automatic loading or Hi-Accuracy systems can be added for
greater versatility.

Royal Master's Crush Grinders are manufactured
in both 3 and 4 inch wide (76mm) and 101mm) wheel faces, with crush
capabilities up to three inch (76mm) profile lengths on both models.
Our crush grinders have additional versatility with single point
diamond dressers for both the work and regulating wheel.Crush forming
is an accurate technique for placing a form into the grinding wheel.
Often a configuration may not be dressed into the grinding wheel
using a single point diamond and template form, such as a small
radius adjacent to a 90 degree shoulder, a flange in the middle
of a part, or a slot; whereby crush form infeed grinding is required.
Many "V" or formed type threads may be ground on a thrufeed
basis. Crush rolls are usually manufactured from hardened high speed
steel or tungsten carbide.
Hi-Accuracy
TG-12x4 Centerless Grinders
The machine's design is based on our standard
grinder line with some very notable exceptions. The machine bed
has been enlarged to add to the stability of the system and accommodate
the new ram swiveling feature. The ram now swivels on a pivot under
the ram, moving the entire lower ram and dresser assembly together.
This is an advantage during Thrufeed grinding the guides do n ot
have to be readjusted when you swivel. Also, a digital indicator
gauges the swivel and an easily accessed handle makes the adjustment.
We have also added a servo drive regulating wheel system. The electrical
system is easily accessed by way of a JIC electrical enclosure mounted
in a space saving position over the coolant tank.
The accuracy of the system was tested
on customer applications and the results were impressive. We were
able to achieve roundness to less than 10 millionths, and straightness
to less than 10 millionths. We are able to make size compensations
with this system in 10 millionths of an inch. The positioning system
consists of a servo driven ball screw unit and the system's movements
are verified with a glass scale with 4 millionths resolution.
The operator interface is an operator friendly 15"
touch screen. This PC driven unit is easily navigated and learned
with pictorial buttons for easy identification.
Post process gauging and auto feeding systems
can be integrated into the system, as well as specially designed
grinding systems.
The Royal Master DRF series is available in manual
or CNC controlled systems. The diamond
roll Dressing of the Grinding Wheel is used for intricately shaped
parts, medium lot size repeat orders, or long production runs. The
above machine is shown with the Allen Bradley CNC Control, with
automatic diamond roll dressing and compensation system. With this
system, size incrementation adjustments can be made as small as
.00010” .00025mm.
The Diamond Roll Form machine was specifically designed
for infeed grinding with the built in capabilities of form dressing
the work wheel with a diamond impregnated master form roll. The
diamond roll form method of dressing or forming the work wheel is
especially advantageous on long run jobs, short run repeat orders
or on parts where the wheel form cannot be dressed by conventional
diamond dressing or crush dressing methods.

DWT 12x4 Now you can infeed grind carbide, ceramic, and other hard
materials requiring a
super abrasive grinding wheel and still have all of the convenience
and speed of redressing a conventional abrasive type wheel.This
new truing feature allows for the mounting of a CBN or diamond work
wheel to the machine, having it trued to the spindle, and re-trued
as needed in minutes without ever having to remove the wheel from
the machine.This new machine, the Royal Master Model DWT-12x4, is
specially built to include an extended machine bed for a permanently
mounted diamond wheel dresser. The diamond wheel dresser is PLC
controlled with x and y slideways and a reciprocating rotating diamond
disc. The wheel dressing function will be initiated on demand by
the touch of one button. Once activated, the diamond wheel dresser
will perform a preprogrammed dress function and then reset itself
for the next dress requirement. |
