Generation 5.1

Royal Master’s Generation 5 CNC Guidewire Grinding System redefines the speed and tolerances of your stainless steel, NiTi, and other exotic guidewires. The speed of grinding wires and the accuracy achieved, comes from the position of the wire being updated every .0025" as the wire passes the sensing pixels. Therefore, there is no need to react, calculate, or track the wire in-between photoelectric eyes.

Gaging diameter and length combinations, storing and archiving data, quick reference, and dimensioning or offset data. Sound complicated? All of this information is just a mouse click away. The part is drawn through the laser at a controlled rate, taking various numbers of samples along the body of the part.

At the conclusion of the pull, the tolerances will be displayed in red, as the actual part configurations will be displayed in green. Then you can save the information into the database for future retrieval, and generate all SPC Data, including CPK’s with a click of the mouse. Also available is our Generation X unique profile grinder for uniquely shaped applications.

Royal Master's Generation 5 CNC Guidewire Grinding System is still a workhorse of the Guidewire grinding industry. Grinding at a production speed and maintaining tight tolerances on your stainless steel, NiTi, and other exotic guidewires. The speed of grinding wires, and the accuracy achieved, comes from the position of the wire being updated every .0025" as the wire passes the sensing pixels. Therefore, there is no need to react, calculate, or track the wire in-between photoelectric eyes.

The sensing system slides along a 12' tee bar. The position of this sensing system is dictated to the operator by the computer’s program and is based on the length of the wire.

The Generation 5's new sensing system is a revolutionary design which uses sensing pixels to track the end of the wire. These pixels, spaced .0025" apart, track the end of the wire. When these are uncovered, the pixels are illuminated by the fiberoptic light source. This in turn will give the machine the exact position of the wire in the sensing bank. As the machine moves according to the wire’s recipe, the machine will be updated by a signal back from the sensing system giving the system excellent repeatability.

The days of box counting and ruler measurements are over! This quality control center makes the grinder and gage a closed loop system, thus feeding back offsets to the machine. Download the wire profile parameters from the grinder over the peer to peer network and you are ready to gage a wire. Place the wire into the clamping trough, press the GAGE WIRE button, watch the windows interface, and see the profile drawn on the screen with the tolerances shown. For a closer look at a portion of the wire use the zoom feature to get closer, up to 2000 times the actual size.

View the screen for a quick reference of your profile or view the dimensions in a table format for a more detailed reference. The wire data can be saved into the computer by the lot number, sample number, operator identifier, machine number, or date and time; any of which will fit your already existing quality assurance procedures. Results of the wire can be displayed on the screen or a hard copy print-out.

At the end of your lot, request a breakdown of all of the wires gaged and watch all your data appear in an easy to read format. For simple SPC capabilities use the gaging station or download the raw data onto a disk for use in any popular spreadsheet format. The ultimate benefit of this wire grinding and gaging package is a user-friendly flexible system which is accurate, efficient, and will meet all of your grinding and gaging needs. With the limitless storage space, the quality control data can be kept on a computer tape for easy reference for many years to come.
