Generation 2 V 2005

In 1984 the Generation 2 was the first CNC Guidewire Grinding System in the world. Since its inception, Royal Master has developed new and innovative technologies for grinding wires.

The Generation 2 Version 2005 is a throwback to the original system with its single photoeyes, but with the advances in technology, it is much more accurate and user friendly. With the 12" touchscreen and main operating screen, which resembles the original systems inputs, cross training on this new system is straight forward.

With the help of our customer’s input we have developed a system that will save those valuable seconds in manual and automatic loading, of Hypotubes and Guidewires down to .008" diameter of raw material.

The Generation 2 Version 2005 uses single photo eyes on a sliding rail with micrometer ball slides for fine linear adjustments. These eyes will trigger the start of the taper. Input the diameter and start position of the taper, making the generation of a profile is quick and easy.

Other mechanical features of the system include an enlarged machine bed to support the ram bed with frictionless crossroller ways, ball screw, and servo motor. The positioning of the regulating wheel is accomplished by a .000004" resolution glass scale with .00001" diameter compensations through the interface.

Rail lengths are manufactured to customer requirements.
